Dr. Furhan Zubair
Islamic scholar, Writer and Educator
Shaykh Furhan Zubairi, born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1983 and raised in Southern California, is a prominent Islamic scholar and educator. He began his studies at the Institute of Knowledge (IOK) in 1998, memorizing the Quran and studying Arabic and Islamic sciences. He completed his B.S. in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine in 2005. He furthered his Islamic education in Pakistan and Egypt, obtaining an ‘Alamiyyah degree (Masters in Arabic and Islamic Studies) from Jami’ah Dar Al-‘Ulum in Karachi.
Shaykh Zubairi holds numerous ijazat (traditional licenses) in Hadith and has certification in Islamic Finance. He serves as the Dean of the Seminary and Extension Programs at the Institute of Knowledge in Diamond Bar, CA, and is a University Chaplain at the University of California Irvine. He regularly delivers sermons and lectures at various Islamic centers and events in Southern California and nationally. He has also authored several books on topics like tafsir, hadith commentary, and foundational Islamic disciplines, part of the IOK Curriculum Series.
