Imam and Lecturer

Imam Reymundo Nour, born in Panama, embraced Islam in the 1970s and pursued Islamic studies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, starting in 1984. He has held various leadership positions within the American Muslim community, including president of the Conejo Valley Islamic Center, Imam and director of the Islamic Movement of North America, and co-founder of the Latin Association of Muslims in the Americas (A.L.M.A.). He is a former advisor to the Islamic Center of the San Gabriel Valley and a former Imam of the Islamic Center in Palm Springs. Imam Nour is actively involved in interfaith dialogue and community outreach, notably addressing the impact of Islamophobia after a firebombing at his mosque in Coachella, California. He dedicates most of his time to serving as an Imam in a California prison and lectures at Islamic centers and academic institutions across California, Texas, and Mexico.
